Poll Smakk
Per the request of American Idol's #1 Fan, LoopsMVP, new poll to the right. Now that I am settled at The Cage with Bunny, where will I spend my Addison Nights? (that might also be a good name for my new reality show)
Addiction Smakk
Why is it that I can be so addicted to some things but not others? Examples:
  • Alcohol - addicted (It is my life.)
  • Starbucks Morning Coffee - addicted (This is a new one. So good but what's up with my piss smelling like coffee. Is this normal?)
  • Cigarettes - not addicted (Don't get this one with people. You don't even get a buzz.)
  • Gambling - addicted (You would be too if all you did was make money.)
  • Exercise - not addicted (Ran a mile this morning and almost went into coma.)
  • DVD's - addicted (Have to buy one every week. Sucks when there are not good new releases. Probably explains Just Friends & D.E.B.S. in my collection.)
  • Bunny - addicted (insert your own mushy statement her)
  • Work - not addicted (Workaholics? Please. Grow up and get drunk at night like the rest of America)
  • Sleep - not addicted (Don't get people that sleep all the time or take naps. You're going to be dead soon enough.)
  • Laguna Beach - addicted (I literally get the shakes on Monday nights with this missing.)
  • Blog Posting - not addicted (Surprising I know. I don't do this for me, I do this for you.)

Need to think of some new things to add to my addictions. Don't have energy to go the drug route, plus I know the alcohol would get jealous. There has to be something else out there. Maybe some hobby like stamp collecting, building models, collecting antiques, nude fire eating, body spray painting, hunting homeless people, etc....

Comment Smakk
I just love the random comments I hear around me from strangers that I've have met for less than a few minutes. Here just a few favorites I have heard over the past couple of days. (Yes, I'm sure you're wondering where the hell I've been hanging out, but that's another story.)

"I don't care if Hitler was in office. I just want gas to be a $1."

"You married? No. You gots you kids? No. Let me give you my number."

"If the kids are playing with their cars on the coffee table and just spill my beer on the carpet, I'm just like 'Now look what you did'. Now if they're playing football in the house and knock over the TV, they're gonna get an ass whooping!"

"I can either give up smoking cigarettes or smoking ice. There's no way I could give up both."

"I think we should just bomb the whole Middle East." (while talking to a guy from Pakistan)

"Jail is not like prison. In jail you're just locked up in a room with nothing to do. In prison you can be productive. It's just like having a job. You just can't go anywhere after work."

I'm sure there are many more but my buzz from last night is gone and my Starbucks hasn't kicked in this morning yet. Later...

Defining Smakk
I sometimes hear this rumbling around me (and I'm not talking about when Bunny needs to be fed) that my life seems to revolve around drinking and alcohol. Like people that read this site, or hear about my Smakk adventures ,or meet some other members of the Rontourage in rehab or somewhere - like defines me is my drinking and partying. That is just ridiculous. There is so much more to me (no jokes about my not working out lately) and I do have many more interests other than getting sauced during every waking moment.
For example, I am very much a huge movie buff. As well, I enjoy watching movies in the buff but that popcorn butter can really burn. So I just wanted to point this out to all of you that didn't know I had interests outside of the bottle. And as a little token to all, I would like to share some nice flicks that you and your family can enjoy:

Leaving Las Vegas - Nick Cage drinking himself to death
Barfly - Mickey Rourke wasting his life away in a bar
The Lost Weekend - the first movie really showing the ugly side (if such a thing existed) to alcoholism
Arthur - Dudley Moore being rich and drunk (living the dream)
Skin Deep - John Ritter being rich, drunk and a womanizer (living the ultimate dream)

So these are just a few fine examples of good movie making. I hope this also goes to show my wide range of interests. Gotta go...almost time for happy hour.

Recap Smakk
Fri - Started off the weekend at Champs for Gwedo's 30th. Somehow, most of the crew disappeared and I ended up at Knox Street with Loops, Gwedo, White G & Bunny. After a sighting of the ex, we break camp and head down to Logan's where the Bunny starts doing solo shots of jager at the bar. Somehow we made it back to the Cage so Loops could have his giant salad while catching up on Amer Idol.
Sat - The Bunny headed to the lake for some bike riding and to rendezvous with her secret boyfriend (Damn that Thomas the Train) while Loops and I met Gwedo for hangover recovery wings at Hooters. After a couple picthers of Coors Light to re-energize, we stroll down to Duke's for some patio sun & fun. A couple more pictchers later and it's back to the Cage to clean up for the night. After splashing on the snake peel and blazering up, we head down to Ft Worth to meet up with the Impregnator and wife-to-be for Styx at Billy Bob's. Yes I said Styx. And yes I said Billy Bobs. After a disappointing abscense of Mr Roboto, we bolt redneck heaven to try a little fuel at the Library and Patty Reds. We finally make it back to the hotel around 3am where Gwedo proceeds to buy 5 pizzas for his & Loop's ring side seat for World War 3 with Bunny & I. Of course I end up sleeping on the floor while still dripping from the glass of water that was thrown in my face after my 5am lost stroll around hotel in my socks.
Sun - After a tough and long ride back to town with my stomach doing backflips, the Bunny & I decide some recovery couch time is called for the rest of the day. After a few hours of the 3 C's, (Couch, Captain and Canoodling) we make an impromptu Galleria shopping spree only and end up at Razoo's. The two hours off the couch proves too much and we head back to the Cage to return to safe haven.
Mon - sucks. 'nuff said
