Bike Smakk
Sometimes I think the Bunny's blonde hair may be contagious. Last Saturday, I decide to do dome random errands around the house. One of those was to mount some hooks in the garage to hang our bikes. So I first head out to home depot and buy a stud finder. This purchase immediately requires me to post a Facebook status update, "I just bought a stud finder at Home Depot. The problem is that it keeps beeping every time I touch it." (drum roll please) So I get home, find the studs and screw in my big hooks. When I try to mount up the bikes, the damn handle bars keep getting the way. After 15 minutes of fighting with them, I finally force the bikes on the hooks so they will stay in place. After taking a shower cause I'm now pouring in sweat from the battle, the Bunny comes home and I explain how hard it was to get the bikes hung on the hooks. Here's how that went:
Bunny - "Didn't you just hang them by the wheels."
Smakk - "They wont work that way because the hook is not as long as the handle bars."
Bunny - "Huh?"
Smakk - "The handle bars are longer than the hooks, so it pushes too far from the wall."
Bunny- "I don't get what you mean. We had no problem when I was a kid and my dad hung them in the garage."
Smakk - "Well come look at it. It won't work that way."
So we go into the garage and :
Smakk - "See. The hooks only come of the wall this far so the handle bars are longer. I finally wedged the bikes up there on their center bar."
Bunny - "You put the hooks into the wall sideways? Why didn't you put the hooks in the ceiling so the bikes hang from their tires?"
Smakk - "Fuck."
So now we have two bikes that look like they are some type of modern art display just magically stuck to the side of the wall. The Bunny can't stop laughing every time we pull the cars out now....
