I'm spending a couple days down in Austin this week so I decided to go old school and stay at the Austin Motel. For those not aware of this fine establishment, this is an old fixture right down on South Congress across from the Continental Club. It's a true motel with outside door entrances to the room, one ice machine out by the pool and every room has a different theme including some with thick shag carpet.. Wireless access? Nope but easy to steal off other nearby places. But what I didn't recall about the last time I stayed here was the experience of the window AC unit. Basically, it kicks on about every 8 minutes and send a monsoon of freezing air blowing right at the bed. I honestly think it kept throwing off my covers during the night. And be sure you keep the TV remote nearby because every time this bitch cranked on, I had to turn the volume up about 10 levels to hear anything. That's really nice because once it cuts back off, the TV is blaring at a level to piss off your neighbors in adjoining rooms. Hopefully their AC was going whenever that happened because I didn't really want them to know I was watching America's Got Talent. Can't wait till the Bunny arrives tonight and discovers there is also no iron or hairdryer. Enjoy your wrinkles and ponytail tomorrow....

Wedding Smakk
Well Big Wu & L finally tied the knot and ended their 6 years of living in sin. The wedding and reception were great and the hotel room post party was spectacular. The Bunny, Yotts & I finally left the hotel about 3am and still squeezed in a couple more hours of drinking back at Club 6850. So welcome to the world of married life and enjoy that locked cage door.
