8 Seconds Smakk
While at the gym yesterday, I started thinking, "Maybe I do need to take a break on my favorite past time - drinking. Do I really need to have a couple cocktails at night with dinner? Maybe just keep the drinking to the weekends and have nice little non-buzzed evenings at home with the Bunny. Yes, that sounds good. Let me just run it by the Bunny when I get home."
So I finish up my cardio, drive back to Club 6850, and have the talk with the Bunny:
Smakk - "So I'm thinking that maybe I shouldn't drink during the week and just on the weekends."
Bunny - "Why?"
Smakk - "You're right. What was I thinking? I'll have a Capitan."
8 full seconds of sobriety...so refreshing...

Amer Idol Smakk
Unlike most things about American idol these days, I'm not hear to debate, discuss, or disembowel the Sanjaya phenom. Nor talk about how Simon's comments are too cruel (it's actual called being honest). Nor speak about how obviously loaded Paula is every week on the show (which I commend). No, I'm here about the actual cruelty that amazes me about this show every week. After dragging out the voting results and stringing along these idiot "performers" for a half hour - after they finally break the news to crush the loser in front of 30 million viewers, they make the poor shmuck re-sing the exact song that caused them to be voted off. That is just brilliance.
Teachers should take the same approach with students. You get a "F" on a paper or report, make the kid get up in front of the class and read it out to everyone. Or say you get arrested for drunk driving. Make the person leave the jail completely loaded and see if they can make it back home without getting arrested again. Or say you get attacked by a pit bull. Douse yourself steak juice, and jump back in the pen with Cujo.
Anyway - you get the picture. So get back to work so hopefully you can make a big enough mistake to get fired and your boss can have you present it at the next company picnic.

Walrus Smakk
The Crew popped the cherry on a new drinking spot for Big Wu's birthday on Saturday night in downtown Big D - The Walrus. Started off a little suspect when we got the evening started at 8:30pm when the Bunny & I arrive to find only Wu, Linds and one other couple in the entire place. Within a half hour, the Crew had a private party of 30 going strong. Fast forward three hours later with the vodka/sodas flowing and Knox DJ spinning, the Walrus was packed with bodies everywhere. So I highly recommend this spot for all my drunken brethren out there, just don't try and separate Wu from his party bucket.
