Shreveport Smakk
I know I've given my dissertation about the "quality" of Shreveport casinos before, but that was from a weekend visit. During the week is a whole new level of experience. Last night I stayed at Sam's Town right downtown on the river. This place shows some good midweek Shreveport representation of their clientele.
Average age - 98yrs old
Average teeth - maybe three
Average outfit - see any Britney Spears photo since KFed
So it's basically me striped up with all these ancient, toothless worms hanging out at one of the 6 blackjack tables in the whole place. Plus I get a seat at the low table so any old fat asses can roll up beside me on their Rascal.
And how's this for marketing strategy on part of the hotel? Someone books the Jagermiester Girls to walk around the casino all night with shot samples. Result - I get loaded and half a dozen blue hairs went into an early coma....

Novel Smakk
I have finally decided it's time for me to write my first novel. Tried this before right after college. Wrote about 50 pages, had a couple lit agents that want to represent me and of course, I never finished it. But now that I've aged a little(like a fine wine of course) and calmed down on the partying...well, I have aged...I think I can actually make an effort to write one. And what's so great about my writing is that I usually have a few Captain's & Diet to keep the creative juices flowing. It also makes it nice that when I start reading what I wrote from the previous night, it's like I'm also reading it for the first time and get excited to see what will happen next.
So let's recap some of my goals I still need to finish this year:
Write 1st novel
Become ordained minister
Actually use my boat more than 5 times this summer
Walk & feed Carrot
Run marathon
Go one month without buying new striped shirt
Marry the Bunny (just seeing if anyone was still reading...)

Weekend Selection Smakk
Choices, choices, choices - This weekend is packed with opportunity
Taste of Addison - Beer stands and cheesy bands. Hootie, Gin Blossoms & Go Go's.
Byron Nelson - Beer tents and golf. Had to hold up rope for Tiger last year.
Poseidon - Flask and a disaster movie. Always a winning combo.
Boat - Sneaky Petes and a watercraft. Time to break in the lake for the summer.
Mavericks vs Spurs - Beer & bbq at Dangerous D's. Will need cash for the impromptu craps game. Loops, where's my $20k from last time?

I think I can squeeze them all in. I'm already hurting thinking about work on Monday...

Baby Smakk
Big news from the weekend - DrE and Tessa had their baby boy, Rocco, on Saturday. Rocco huh? The name has kinda grown on me over the past couple months. Yep, grown on me like a rash on Big Wu. Makes me think about having a kid one day. Well at least having one that I know about. And since I know he'll be buddies with Rocco, think I'll name him Blocko. Rocco & Blocko. Sounds good. Ok, ok - I'm stepping away from the pipe.
