So Obama is the man by a landslide and with renewed confidence in his capable hands to fix the economy, the market takes an immediate nosedive. When will people learn that the only thing driving this "recession" is the media? Recessions in the US economy are the causes of one of two things: an actual cataclysmic tragedy i.e. the 9/11 attacks or, as in now, the lack of anything interesting for the media to cover. Think about it. The best our economy has been was during Clinton's presidency. Slick Willy gave the media so much fodder with Hilary, Monica, cigars, etc...that they didn't need to focus on the economy.
So what caused the media to create our current economic slowdown? Here are just a few factors:
- Coverage of the war is just too boring & depressing
- Bush really never had any good scandal like Monica, Iran Contra, Watergate
- No new really stupid must have toys like Tickle Me Elmo, Beenie Babies, Cabbage Patch Dolls
- OJ actually went to jail
- No Y2K bug to end the world
- No babies stuck down a well
But the #1 reason why our 401k's are plummeting due to this media created hysteria - Britney Spears cleaned up her act. Come on Britney! We need you back on that crazy horse. Shave the head, hit the car with the umbrella, put your kids in danger, find a bigger loser than KFed. people need to feed their kids Britney. Is one more pantiless cootchie shot too much to ask for your country?
