Airport Smakk
What is it about an airport that makes it such a beating to wait around? I spent a few hours yesterday at the one in Richmond, VA waiting on my AA (American Airlines, not the AA you all know) flight back to Big D. You would think I would be content considering most necessities are right there for me - bars, crappy food, lots of random people to watch and ridicule, moving sidewalks, men's magazines, etc. (Quick sidebar - who actually buys the Hustler or Swank at the airport newsstand? Do you just sit on the plane crammed beside a couple strangers while you browse through some nice muff shots? Loops, I'm sure you have an answer to that.)

Anyway, they pretty much have the things that I look for in my everyday life but something about the airport just sucks all the fun out. Is it just knowing that you are at their mercy on when you will get to your destination? I'm thinking that's it. So to test this there, I think I need to round up the crew and have each of us buy some meaningless cheap ticket to where ever just to get past security and party all day in the terminal. And if it gets too rowdy, there's plenty of cabs right at the curb.
